The core ones, in my mind, are: 1. Knowledge 2. Trust 3. Passion 4. Resilience 5. Stubborn to the point of almost unreal Morgan Chen embodies all of them; His 16 years in the business allows him to grasp knowledge in an amazingly efficient way, and then use his passion for what he does to fuel the selling process. Then, when things get tough for any reason (which most likely will happen in any selling process) he pulls from his resilience and amazing business stubbornness to bring it home. Nothing, and I mean it, NOTHING deters Morgan from locking it down. He sees roadblocks as opportunities to identify new angles, new approaches that in fact will allow him to strengthen our selling position. They way he can pivot and adjust into a new, better angle is nothing short of amazing. Morgan, I have share this one on one but allow me to do so in this public forum: My mom and I will forever be grateful for your support and guidance. It was paramount to ultimately become successful with this sale. You are an example to follow in your industry, and I hope that many others replicate your method and human touch. Read MoreI bought a condo from Morgan last year and he helped me sell my house this year. He is terrific! Smart & empathetic! Responsive & strategic! My house did not sell right away. An initial cash buyer was unstable and very difficult to work with . Morgan was tactful and patient but it was never going to work. A second buyer backed out after inspection. On Morgan’s advice we dropped the price significantly – which paved the way for buyer #3 who loved the house and was easy to work with. SO – It was not an smooth process but Morgan stuck with me every step of the way. If I ever sell again, I will call Morgan first.

He made the process of selling our house smooth and stress-free but also made sure we priced it appropriately and did the leg-work to guide us from offer to closing. He knows everyone around, has a great feel for the market (we have dealt with him in both hot and cold times for home-buying), and never misses the details. Read MoreWe purchased our first home with Morgan, and he was fantastic from start to finish. Morgan is resourceful, patient, and consistently responsive, and he coordinated really well with all of the other folks involved in our home purchase (e.g., seller’s agent, attorney, home inspector). As stressful as buying a home can be–especially in this market–we always felt confident that Morgan was on top of everything and that nothing was going to slip through the cracks. Case in point: we had a hiccup with the city’s occupancy inspection a few days before closing, and Morgan was fully on it, even driving 25 minutes to hand deliver a crucial form to the city late on a Friday afternoon. As a small aside, my partner and I are queer and I’m trans, and we both felt really comfortable working with Morgan. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

Read MoreI know you might think this is a fake review because of the 5 stars across the board, however, I assure you that I am real and this was a real experience. I found Morgan while searching reviews in FB for local agents in the Highland Park area. I had mixed use commercial property with 4 units to sell and decided to list it with him based mostly on his previous reviews. From the very start of process he was focused on developing a game plan and I was very impressed with his knowledge and enthusiasm. Fairly quickly we received multiple offers from seasoned investors, and went with the highest best offer. Morgan did all of dirty work and handled all of the inspections, COs, and provided sound guidance on unexpected issues that always seem to pop up. He even pushed the buyers attorney when he needed to be pushed. I highly recommend Morgan for anyone looking to list or purchase a property. I certainly plan on using him again when we sell our current home.
