buying a property

I have helped countless buyers and investors purchase their properties all throughout New Jersey!  Each home buying process is unique and it’s my passion to guide each buyer towards the goal of buying a property!

He cares about educating his clients and finding them the best home because for one, he’s a genuinely good dude haha, but also he understands how much finding the right home means for people. It’s clear that he has a passion for what he is doing. His knowledge about the area and kinds of things to look out for (pros and cons) have clearly been built over time. He’s experienced and intelligent and has a great friendly demeanor. Maybe the most important thing was his ability to keep us calm and focused during the process.

We highly recommend Morgan. We were returning customers. He helped us purchase our townhome and then 4 years later our single family home. We went on several trips in different areas with Morgan. He was never pushy and allowed us the make decisions ourselves (but always offered advice).

Morgan is a personable and knowledgeable realtor. He is empathetic to the stress of the home buying process and accordingly displays consideration to his clients. Morgan responded to countless calls / texts and patiently explained certain subjects relating to the industry and process. It feels as if Morgan truly wants to please his clients. He is an expert in his field and has a knack for teaching how it all works. I wouldn’t want to go through the adventure of buying a home with anyone else and would wholeheartedly recommend Morgan Chen to any friend or family member.

Step 1: Mortgage Preapproval

A prequalification or preapproval letter is a document from a lender stating that determines how much money you can borrow and how much house you can afford. From there you can determine your purchase price budget.

Step 2: Home Shopping

Finalize your target area based on commute, neighborhood and available inventory.

Categorize home features into must-haves, nice-to-haves, and deal-breakers. Must-haves are essential (e.g. # of baths) and will help you filter out unsuitable homes. Nice-to-haves are desirable but not essential (e.g. pool or fireplace).

Making Offers: Learn how to craft a competitive offer that that will get accepted!

Step 3: Offer Accepted - Closing

Home Inspection: identify potential issues, negotiate repairs

Finalizing the Mortgage: appraisal and loan approval

Closing: title work is complete and sign the deed.
